FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is your latecomers policy?

We try to accommodate latecomers by letting them in at a suitable break in the show. If a member of your party is running late we would advise that you leave their ticket at the Box Office for collection, they will then be escorted to their seat at a suitable point in the performance.

Please be aware that some shows/artists may place further restrictions on latecomers admittance (including no latecomers allowed) and on re-admittance.

Can I smoke?

The Hawth Theatre is a no smoking venue, this also includes the use of electronic cigarettes.

Do you have WIFI?

Wi-Fi is available for public use and there is no password required.

Is there somewhere I can leave my coat/bag?

The Hawth Theatre does not have a dedicated cloakroom, however if you need to store your possessions during the performance then please ask for the Duty Manager who can assist you.

It is recommended that large bags are not brought into the venue and you may be asked to show the contents of your bag before you are admitted into our performance spaces.

Is there somewhere I can leave my buggy?

For family shows there is an area where buggies and car seats can be stored, please ask a member of staff for further assistance when you arrive.

What should I bring for the amphitheatre?

The amphitheatre is an outdoor space and open to the elements so please bring suitable clothing and something to sit on i.e. a blanket, a cushion, or a foldable chair. Chairs can only be used at the back of the amphitheatre so that these do not impact on other people’s view of the performance.

Where is the merchandise on sale?

Many of the shows will have merchandise and programmes available to purchase. Merchandise is usually positioned in the lower foyer and if available then programmes are located either with a member of staff or from any of our retail points.

Please note The Hawth no longer accepts cash for any payments for tickets, merchandise, or food or drink.

When will the auditorium open for the show?

This varies from show to show although we would normally open the auditorium doors 15 minutes before the performance start time.

Announcements will be made once the doors are open but all times are subject to change.

When does the show finish/When is the interval?

Start and end times are advertised behind the bar, please note these times are only approximate and subject to change. Interval times vary but are typically 20 minutes in length.

Can I use my mobile phone?

Please turn mobile phones and pagers off during performances at the venue.

Can I photograph or film a show or event?

The use of cameras and filming equipment is strictly forbidden during all performances unless otherwise stated.

Is The Hawth an accessible venue?

The Hawth aims to be a welcoming and accessible venue for all visitors. We will always endeavour to support all our customers to access and enjoy our events and venue. For more information about accessing our venue please see our access page or contact the Box Office for advice.
