The Castle Theatre aims to entertain, stimulate, inspire and encourage creativity, all in a comfortable, soulful, modern facility.
Parkwood Theatres began running Castle Theatre in 2019 and is now one of the liveliest and most diverse programmes of arts and performance in Northamptonshire. Castle Theatre plays host to artists, musicians, dancers and performers from around the world, from household names and West End shows to artists presenting new performance, theatre, music, dance, comedy and film.
Set in the bustling town of Wellingborough, Castle Theatre’s facilities include the main auditorium (seating 503 seated), Studio (seating 84), an Art Studio/exhibition space, Pud’s ‘N’ Gud’s bistro, and a fantastic bar with a wide range of refreshments.
The programme of events includes over 350 performances and events a year, attracting over 100,000 paying customers to the venue. The quality, range and diversity of the events has established the theatre as one of the most respected venues in Northamptonshire and is continuing to grow.
The theatre is regularly hired by both local businesses and arts organisations as a venue for conferences, exhibitions and events.
