2. CONDITIONS OF SALE AND EXCHANGES

All tickets are sold subject to availability and to these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions must be read carefully prior to purchase and any queries relating to them should be raised with us prior to purchase, as purchase of tickets constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.

A valid ticket must be produced to gain entrance to an event. The ticket must be retained by the customer whilst in the venue and be made available for inspection if requested by the venue staff. Failure to produce a valid ticket may result in expulsion from the venue.

Please notify us of any access requirements at the time of booking.

It is your responsibility to check your tickets as mistakes cannot always be rectified after purchase. Please check your tickets on receipt carefully and contact us immediately if there is a mistake. We will not be responsible for any ticket that is lost, stolen or destroyed.

The management only accepts responsibility for tickets bought from one of its own managed sales points. Any queries regarding tickets purchased from ticket agents must be directed back to the relevant agent. It is not always possible to issue duplicate tickets; for example for non-seated events where there is a possibility of both the original and duplicate tickets being used, compromising the licensed capacity of the venue. Duplicates may therefore be issued at the discretion of the venue or the promoter. If duplicates are issued, an administration charge may be levied. We and the promoter reserve the right to provide alternative seats at an event to those specified on the ticket if the staging of the event reasonably requires, provided they are of no less value to that stated on the ticket.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ascertain whether an Event has been cancelled or rescheduled. In such cases the venue will make all reasonable endeavours to notify customers of the change, as soon as we are made aware, but cannot guarantee all will be informed before the date of the Event. It is the customer’s responsibility to respond in due course to agree to alternative action (exchanges, refunds etc.).

It is the customer’s responsibility to assess the suitability of an Event for children where no official age restriction applies. Account holders and those purchasing tickets must be at least 16 years of age. Parents/guardians must remain on site with persons under 16, if not attending performances alongside them. We accept no responsibility or liability for persons under 16 who are left without a parent or guardian on the premises.

The Hawth Theatre specific terms: based on venue licensing, under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult, unless attending a workshop, class or event supervised by our creative learning team.

Tickets are sold on the basis that they are not transferable and must not be exchanged or resold except where a ticket exchange or resale facility authorised by us is offered. Resale, or attempted resale or purchase of a ticket other than via an authorised ticketing partner are grounds for seizure or cancellation of such ticket without refund or other compensation.

The number of tickets purchased may be subject to a maximum. We reserve the right to cancel any tickets where we have reasonable cause to believe they have been bought in excess of this maximum number or otherwise in breach of these Terms.

Neither we nor any Organiser will be required to honour tickets if we know or have reasonable grounds for believing that they have been purchased from unauthorised agents or other unauthorised sources including, but not limited to, ticket touts or duplicated tickets. We will be entitled to refuse entry to any person holding such a Ticket, or to eject them from the venue and/or the Event. If you are unsure as to whether or not a person offering tickets for sale is an authorised ticket agent, please contact us. Please be aware that auction sites are not authorised ticket agents.

For card payments, transactions will appear on your bank statement as ‘Parkwood Theatres’. If you have any concerns about your payment or other order details, please contact the Box Office.

3. TICKET PRICES AND PAYMENT

The price of the ticket shall be the price set at the time we accept your order. All prices set are inclusive of VAT and any booking fees. Tickets can be collected from the Box Office during public opening hours or on the night of the show - pre-show opening times may vary, please check the venue website for specific information. E-ticket and postal delivery options are available on certain events, with the postal delivery option carrying an additional charge.

Ticket prices are subject to change and the venue reserves the right to change the prices of tickets and/or introduce discounts/special offers, which cannot be retrospectively applied to tickets already purchased.
All discounts are offered subject to availability and therefore tickets may not be available at all advertised prices at all times.  We reserve the right to revert back to last known ticket price if any incorrect amount has been posted online in error.

Concession/discounted/complimentary ticket prices must be applied for at the time of purchase and cannot be applied to tickets already purchased.

Proof of entitlement to a concession/discounted/complimentary ticket may be requested from the customer at the time of booking/collection and/or when they attend the Event. Failure to produce reasonable proof of entitlement to a concession/discount may invalidate the ticket and result in refusal of admittance or ejection from the venue.

For more information on access ticket availability, please visit the specific venue website or contact the Box Office by email or during opening times.

Children (aged under 16) shall require their own ticket, which shall be at full ticket price if no child concessions are available at the time of booking. Infants in arms (children under 24 months as standard, subject to change) may be admitted free of charge to eligible shows (i.e. children’s shows and pantomimes). An infant in arms ticket will be required for admission in this circumstance. This is at the discretion of the venue/promoter and may be available for varied ages on certain shows.

5. CHANGES TO EVENT

The organiser of the event and/or the venue reserves the right to make alterations to the published event programme and casting where reasonably necessary. Customers with existing tickets may not be eligible for refunds, on this basis.

6. REFUNDS/EXCHANGES/RESALE

The below terms and conditions may vary per venue. Please see individual venue websites for specific booking conditions.

Ticket Exchange

If you are unable to attend the event through no fault of ours, we may offer a ticket exchange facility for a different performance of the same production, subject to availability.

In order to obtain an exchange you must contact us at least a week before the event. Tickets can be exchanged for a seat of the same value, within its current run at the same venue and will be subject to a per ticket exchange fee. If a discount has been applied to the tickets, then this will only be honoured within the original terms and conditions of the offer.

If the tickets are exchanged for tickets of a higher value, the difference must be paid. If the tickets are exchanged for tickets of a lower value, the difference may be retained by the producer of the event.

If the event has been booked through us for a promoter or group then an exchange may not be offered and we would refer to the promoter/group's own terms and conditions of sale.

Refunds

Tickets cannot be refunded unless the performance is cancelled or rescheduled (subject to below) or where there is a material change, as defined below, to the programme of event.

A 'material' change is a change which, in our reasonable opinion, makes the event materially different to the event that purchasers of the ticket, taken generally, could reasonably expect. The use of understudies in a theatre performance shall not be a material change.  The refund for tickets equals the face value of the tickets purchased.
Depending on specific venue policy, we may be able to accept tickets returned for resale (in exchange for venue credit only); please contact the Box Office for more information and terms/conditions.

Where an event is cancelled or rescheduled (subject to the below terms) by the venue or promoter, where an event is cancelled or rescheduled due to circumstances beyond our control, or where there is a material change to the programme of the event, you may be entitled to claim a refund. Please contact the Box Office for more information.

Refunds shall only be made to the person who purchased the tickets and, when possible, be made using the same method as was used to purchase the tickets. Where this is not possible, a refund may be made by BACS. These terms and conditions do not and shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
