HOW TO BOOK

The Hazlitt Theatre online booking service offers a secure way of booking tickets with the option of choosing your own seats.

We would ask wheelchair users or visually impaired patrons, those with special access or seating requirements to call the Box Office on 01622 758611.

If you are hard of hearing, please email Box Office - hazlitt.boxoffice@parkwoodtheatres.co.uk or book online.

If you are booking online with us for the first time, we advise you to create an account before looking for tickets as they will only be held for a certain time and may be released before you finish creating your account.

Offline Bookings

Personal Bookings: Opening hours Monday - Saturday 10:30am - 14:30pm.

Evenings and Sundays tickets can be collected 1 hour prior to the performance for events in the main auditorium and 30 minutes prior to performance  for events in the Exchange Studio. The Box Office will remain open for 15mins after Curtain Up on a show day.

Postal Bookings: Box Office, The Hazlitt Theatre, Earl Street, Maidstone, Kent ME14 1PL. Please enclose a day and evening telephone number in case there is a query regarding your booking. Please make cheques payable to Parkwood Leisure.

Telephone Bookings: Monday - Saturday 10:30am - 14:30pm on 01622 758611 The Hazlitt Theatre operates a call queuing system. Reservations can be held for 7 working days before being released for sale. Flexible reservation periods are available for school and group bookings. Please contact the Box Office on 01622 758611.

Credit/Debit Cards: We accept all major credit/debit cards. Please note we do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards

Refunds and Exchanges

The Hazlitt Theatre operates a ‘no refund’ policy. Tickets may be exchanged for another performance of the same show in advance of the date of the booked performance if applicable. Exchanges will not be made following the performance. The exchange/reprinting of tickets will incur a fee of 50p.

In the unlikely event of a performance being cancelled a full exchange/credit/refund will be offered free of charge.

Discounts

Details of discounts are given with each performance. Only one discount may be claimed for each ticket. Please note not all discounts apply to all productions.

  •  Children - under 16 years old (must always be accompanied by an adult)
  •  Over 65s - people of 65 years and over.
  •  Students - people over 16yrs old and in full-time education.
  •  Unemployed - people in receipt of Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, Working Tax Credit or  Housing Benefit.
  •  Group/School - groups of 10 or more. One teacher free for every 10 students in schools booking.
  •  Family of four - two adults and two children (unless stated) if your family party is different please call the Box Office who will be happy to assist.

Ticket Offers

Any offers promoted on our social media / email cannot be used on existing full-priced previously purchased tickets.

Theatre Tokens

Society of London Theatre Tokens are available for sale and redemption from the Box Office only. They are widely accepted at over 240 national theatres.  For a full list of participating venues visit: www.solt.co.uk  We recommend that the venue is always contacted regarding acceptance of tokens prior to any visit. 

Other Information

In the interests of all our patrons, please make sure mobile phones are switched off during performances. Photography, video and recording of performances are strictly prohibited unless prior permission has been obtained.

Pushchairs are not allowed in the Theatre or Studio, but we may be able to keep them for you, subject to space available.  A small number of Booster Seats are available on a first  come first served basis.  To avoid any disappointment you are also welcome to bring your own booster seat (car or cushion) as long as it does not obstruct any other patron.

Smoking or the use of E-Cigarettes is prohibited.

Seating Plan

Please note that some seats may not be available on certain shows.

The following rows with an 'i' means:

A - Restricted View - as you will be looking up and may have lighting/staging obstructions.  Wheelchair spaces at the end of row A19.

G - Extra leg room -  G16 & G17 are bariatric seats (wider seat- 60cm, standard 45cm).  Viewable on our Access page.

 A-F (Front Stalls) - No aisle (left and right side entry only)

G-Q (Middle/Rear Stalls) - left, right and central aisle between seats 10 & 11 entry available

AA (Balcony) - Railing in front of seats

CC (Balcony) - Restricted leg room, approximately 25cm is the distance between the edge of the seat and the railing at its closest point.  CC1-4 & CC14-17 have small railing in front of seats

DD (Balcony) - Caution, especially when dark, at the beginning and end of the row as their is a slight drop to the level of the seats infront

For those with mobility issues please be aware:

  • Wheelchair spaces at the end of rows A19, C19, E19 (must be booked prior to attending directly through box office, as avised above)
  • there is raised seating from rows H-Q of the stalls - step up on H, L & O
  • the balcony can only be accessed by stairs
  • Seat 1 from rows G - Q is against a wall, with narrow side entry G-L and raised steps as above.
